The Process

Create Your GATS Account
Register your system at PJM-EIS GATS (free). This is where your generation is tracked and RECs are minted.

Report Your Production
Enter your meter readings into GATS monthly or quarterly. For every 1000kWh, you qualify for one REC.

RECs Are Minted
Seven days after reporting generation or on the last business day of the month, RECs are automatically "minted" in GATS and become available for trading.

Trade on Flett Exchange
Log into your Flett account and sell your RECs. View charts, make decisions, and place orders above market or sell immediately. Learn how our exchange works.

Transfer Your RECs
After locking in your price, transfer the RECs from your GATS account to Flett Exchange. View transfer directions.

Receive Your Payment
You'll receive email confirmation of your sale. Flett Exchange will remit your funds via check or direct deposit.

How long does it take to get paid after selling my RECs?
+Once you transfer your RECs to the Flett Exchange GATS account, our team confirms the trade usually by the end of the business day. Payment is then processed by the end of the next business day.
You'll receive email confirmation when your sale is complete, and funds will be remitted via your chosen payment method (check or direct deposit).
Do I need to have a GATS account before signing up for Flett Exchange?
+No, you can sign up for Flett Exchange before creating your GATS account. However, you'll need an active GATS account to actually trade RECs.
